Coelle is knitted in a fine gauge extra fine 100% merino wool quality originated from mulesing free Biella yarns.

Merino wool is soft; non-itchy; temperature-regulating; repels water and dirt particles; anti-static; doesn’t pill; and, finally, it holds properties which eliminate odors instead of holding onto them. 

When using Biella yarns, a soft and luxurious touch is achieved and the yarns have been specially treated to prevent shrinking and be machine washed while maintaining the natural properties and benefits of wool. This is a high quality garment that – if treated properly- you will enjoy for a long time.

The yarns used for this quality are also mulesing free. Mulesing is a practice in which skin is removed from the rear of the Merino sheep - without anesthetization - in order to prevent flies from laying their larvae on the sheep. Mulesing free means that this very painful procedure is avoided, taking into consideration animal welfare.
